Eastman to Improve Composites Profitability

Eastman Chemical Company will be taking steps to improve profitability in under-performing business segments, including unsaturated polyester resins for composites. The Composites, Liquid Resins and Powder Resins segments had a combined loss of US$75 million in 2002; the loss in 2003 is expected to be greater.
