Production of Renault F1 Molds

To build its carbon-fiber monocoque chassis, the Renault F1 manufacturing team starts by curing a master pattern in an autoclave. The patterns are machined on a five-axis mill, and hand finished to final tolerances. Finally, composite molds for the chassis are layed up on the pattern.
