New Study Predicts Growth in Composites Use
Friday November 7, 2003
A new market study predicts strong growth in the use of advanced composites over the next five years. While total volume is predicted to increase by 29 percent, carbon fiber prices are likely to continue falling, limiting the increase in total value to about 20 percent. Lower carbon fiber prices could drive the mass use of advanced composites in large-scale markets such as infrastructure. Strong growth is also expected in other fibers and other markets.
