Composite Lamppost Safer in Crashes

UK-based Euro-Projects has developed a thermoplastic composite lamppost. The material is environmentally friendly and more durable than current lampposts. It is also designed to crumble or hinge when hit by a car, absorbing the impact forces and avoiding (or at least minimizing) harm to the driver and passengers.
