Scientists Receive Award for Composite Insertion Research
Saturday December 6, 2003
Boeing has given its Bronze Award to a team of NAVAIR (Phantom Works) scientists for their work on a DARPA program to accelerate the insertion of composites into military programs. The team performed design-of-experiment analyses, analysis of variables, and sensitivity analyses. Several of the methodologies have already been spun off to other Boeing programs, including the 7E7, F-22 Raptor and the X-37 space plane.
