Low-Cost Asian Airlines Turn to Airbus
Sunday January 11, 2004
Low-cost, no-frills airlines are beginning to flood the Asian market, and they are looking to Airbus for their aircraft. The A319 and A320 are popular choices, and even the super-jumbo A380 is proving economical on high density routes. Airbus has incorporated Asian companies into its supply line, which also helps sales. Composites Technology Research Malaysia, for example, manufactures key wing components for the A380, as well as the A300 and A320 families.
