Ikonics Corp. has developed a new powder metal/resin composite that has the properties of a metal but can be etched by sandblasting. The new material, called IkonMetal composites, was initially developed for use as etched decorative signs. Ultimately, the material could be used for making embossing and hot-stamping dies.
