ABAQUS to Commercialize Boeing Composite Failure Analysis

ABAQUS has licensed the patented Virtual Crack Closure Technique (VCCT) from Boeing, for incorporation into its commercial finite element codes. VCCT is used to predict failure and long term reliability of composite structures. Two NASA reports (in PDF format) describe VCCT: one by Ronald Krueger, and one by T. Kevin O'Brien.
