Automobile Industry Turns to Lightweight Materials
Saturday June 12, 2004
Automobile makers are likely to increase their use of lightweight materials as they works toward improving fuel efficiency. Plastics and polymer matrix composites can reduce vehicle weight and provide other benefits such as improved corrosion resistance. Metal matrix composites are also promising but still too expensive for widespread use, but have found uses in niche applications such as power train and brake components.

I NEED INFORMATION ABOUT POLYMER AND COMPOSITE IN AUTOMOBILES.
