When Delaware City proposed to build a permanent concrete wall along the Delaware River to prevent flooding, local residents and business owners were opposed because the wall would block views. Hardcore Composites came to the rescue, developing removable fiberglass panels that weigh only 70 pounds and can be hand-installed by only two people. Floods are predictable, so the panels will only be in place when one threatens the area.
