Many small composite businesses are in constant search of financing. An example of this is the National Composites Center in Ohio. This small research and development organization uses government funding to develop new composite technologies.
Recently, they were hoping for a $3 million grant to develop a carbon fiber division. When the bad news came in, the Dayton Daily News reports that they will still be pushing ahead with plans.
The key to keeping your composites company running smoothly is to have adequate cash and capital. However, this is no walk in the park. This is especially true in the early R&D stages, when funding a composites company seems impossible.
Finding funding is always a hurdle, especially when starting a composites company. This makes it even more important to keep the perseverance up when that promising capital source falls through.
