The combinations for your FRP composite is mind boggling. You can take the various resin types (thermoplastic, epoxy, vinyl ester, polyester, etc), and select one broad type. The options on resin then needs to be decided upon based on end use properties and manufacturing process. (Infusion grade, fire resistant, impact resistant, aerospace certified, etc.)
Then, engineering the reinforcement (carbon, glass, aramid, etc.) and the orientation of the fibers comes into play. Put all these potential combinations together, and what you have is a whole lot of possibilities... Which is why I love composites...
