Intellitec Receives ISO 9001 Certification
ATLANTA, July 26 - Advanced Technical Products, Inc. (NASDAQ:ATPX) announced today that its Intellitec division has been verified and registered in compliance with ISO 9001, by Eagle Registrations Inc. of Dayton, Ohio on June 30, 1999. Intellitec received this certification, which is the highest in the 9000 series of standards agreed upon by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
This recognition of quality assurance in design, development, management and manufacturing comes after two years of preparation and adds to an impressive list of quality system milestones achieved by the division.
Such milestones include a Statement of Qualification to ANSI/ASQC Q9001 by the Defense Contract Management Command (DCMC), Orlando and the U.S. Army Material Command's Contractor Performance Certification Program (CP)2 Award for excellence in design, development, and production. Intellitec received both of these awards on January 30, 1999.
Intellitec employs a wide range of manufacturing and development technologies to produce products for both military and commercial customers. Its areas of expertise include chemical defense, composite components, electro-optical and mechanical systems, tactical deception, cloth and fabric assembly and electronic mechanical assembly.
Advanced Technical Products, Inc.'s other divisions include Marion Composites, Lincoln Composites, Alcore, and Lunn Industries. The Company is one of very few with the ability to utilize multiple processes, such as, autoclave lamination, filament winding, resin transfer molding and metal bonding. Using these processes, the Company manufactures products for the aerospace and defense markets as well as for commercial applications including oil and gas tubulars and pressure vessels for Natural Gas Vehicles.
