Plastics Market Omnexus Appoints New Vice President

ATLANTA - Omnexus(TM) (www.omnexus.com), the global, plastics e-Marketplace, has announced the appointment of David Jukes to the post of senior vice president, responsible for global sales, marketing and supplier relations.

Jukes joins Omnexus from Ellis & Everard plc (Polymers Division), where he most recently served as vice president of corporate development.

According to Yaarit Silverstone, acting chief executive officer of Omnexus, "We are so pleased that David Jukes has joined us as senior vice president. He is well known and well respected within the plastics industry and brings with him a wealth of plastics e-commerce experience."

Jukes noted that having worked on both sides of the Atlantic in the plastics industry for more than 20 years gives him an advantage in developing this global business. "Omnexus has recruited excellent people in both the U.S. and Europe, making my job that much easier."

Currently, Omnexus employs some 30 permanent employees in the U.S. and in Europe.

At Ellis & Everard, Jukes was responsible for, among other things, the development of the company's e-business strategy and its implementation. "The idea of helping to lead a company with five major resin producers as founders and many additional Leadership Suppliers is a formidable opportunity and one that I relish."

Prior to joining Ellis Everard in 1990, Jukes held several positions at Victor International Plastics (Midlands) Ltd., including managing director. He also spent several years working in Australia.
