Alliant Techsystems names Perri Hite Corporate Secretary

MINNEAPOLIS, April 5 - ATK (NYSE:ATK) (Alliant Techsystems) said it has named Perri A. Hite corporate secretary, with responsibility for all securities regulatory matters and corporate governance. Hite previously was assistant corporate secretary.

"Perri brings to her new position solid experience in corporate securities matters, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, and technology licensing," said Ann D. Davidson, vice president and general counsel. "This broad legal background together with her extensive knowledge of the corporate governance and securities regulatory issues facing U.S. companies today make her particularly well suited for this key ATK leadership post."

Hite began her legal career in 1984 as a paralegal with Honeywell. When ATK was formed in 1990 by the spin off of Honeywell's defense businesses, she joined ATK's Office of the General Counsel, where she supported the transition of those businesses into a stand-alone, publicly traded company and worked on activities related to mergers and acquisitions, procurement, and real estate.

After receiving her Juris Doctor degree in 1996, Hite became the principal attorney supporting ATK's Global Environmental Solutions subsidiary. She later returned to mergers and acquisitions, licensing, insurance, and real estate activities. She was named assistant corporate secretary in October 1999.

A native of Winnebago, Minn., Hite holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia College in St. Paul and a Juris Doctor degree from the William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul.

Hite is a member of the American Bar Association, Minnesota State Bar Association, American Society of Corporate Secretaries, and Minnesota Women Lawyers. She also serves as a volunteer attorney with the Children's Law Center of Minnesota, a foster child advocacy program.

ATK is a $1.1 billion aerospace and defense company with leading positions in munitions, precision capabilities, propulsion and composite structures. The company, which is headquartered in Hopkins, Minn., employs approximately 6,000 people and has two business segments: Aerospace and Defense.
