ASME Offers Online Graduate-Level Courses

NEW YORK, Jan. 29, 2001 - ASME International (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers), in cooperation with leading U.S. universities, now offers online graduate-level courses for engineers and technical professionals. The Society's new web site at www.asme.org/asmevirtualcampus, provides a unique opportunity for professionals and students to access quality graduate-level engineering and technical courses.

Asmevirtualcampus programs currently include master's degree curricula in Computing, Information Systems and Business Administration, plus 14 graduate certificate courses on subjects such as Project Management, E- Commerce, Elements of Computer Science, Information Systems Development, Computer Networking, Telecommunication and Wireless Communications, Technology Applications in Science Education and Object-Oriented Design, among others.

Participating universities include Stevens Institute of Technology (New Jersey), New Jersey Institute of Technology and United States Open University (Delaware). Other top-ranked universities are planning to join in the near future.
