Marion Composites Delivers 500th S-788 Lightweight Shelter
ROSWELL, Ga., June 11 - Advanced Technical Products, Inc. (NASDAQ:ATPX), announced today that its Marion Composites division has delivered its 500th S-788 Lightweight Multi- Purpose Shelter. Originally developed by Marion Composites under a U.S. government contract, the S-788 shelter is a lightweight, HMMWV-mountable electronic enclosure providing 60 dB of electromagnetic shielding. According to Steve Sperry, Director of Shelter Operations, "This is a great accomplishment for us. We attribute our success to listening to our customers and providing a quality product they can count on." The Marion Composites S-788 shelter is deployed on numerous DoD systems to house mobile electronic systems, including the Standardized Integrated Command Post Shelter (SICPS). Marion Composites originally developed the SICPS under a U.S. Army contract.
To provide maximum customer benefit, Marion Composites maintains an inventory of shelter subcomponents to minimize delivery time. Depending on the specific configuration, small quantity delivery for S-788 shelters is no longer than 30 days and can be as little as 15 days. Marion Composites provides S-788 shelters in a standard "bare box" configuration or as integrated systems including internal power generator, environmental control units, and other custom equipment.
For U.S. government and U.S. government sponsored customers, the Marion Composites S-788 shelter is available through the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) under government contract # GS-07F-0156L. GSA is a federal agency responsible for providing products and services to other federal agencies.
