Marion Composites Wins Motorola Ground Station Contract
ROSWELL, Ga., March 12 - Advanced Technical Products, Inc. (NASDAQ:ATPX), announced today that its Marion Composites division received a purchase order valued at approximately $300,000 for 13 Common Ground Station (CGS) shelters from Motorola Integrated Systems Division in Scottsdale, Arizona. Delivery is scheduled to begin in April and end in August of this year. These shelters are mounted on a HMMWV and are modified versions of the Army's S-788/G Lightweight Multi-Purpose Electrical Equipment Shelter which was also developed and manufactured by Marion Composites.
"To fully support our military customers, the CGS must support a variety of operational needs and environment conditions with optimum flexibility," said Manny Mora, general manager of Integrated Systems Division. "We are confident that Marion Composites' shelter can deliver the mobility that the military expects."
"This purchase is the latest option to be exercised on a purchase order originally signed in 1997," stated Pat Bell, Marion Composites' Program Manager for Shelter Operations. "Since that time we have delivered 107 shelters under the agreement and we are pleased with the continuation of this long-standing relationship between Motorola and Marion Composites."
