General Chemical Raises Price of Soda Ash

The General Chemical Group Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: GNMP) announced today that it is raising the off-list price for all grades of soda ash by $5.00 per net ton, effective Oct. 1, 2001, or as contracts permit. This increase is in addition to the $10.00 per net ton increase announced by General Chemical on July 16, 2001, and applies to all bulk, packaged, and liquid shipments.
