Clark Johnson Named SAMPE International President

Covina, CA - June 30, 2003 - The SAMPE Board of Directors announced Clark W. Johnson as their International President for the fiscal year 2003-2004, effective July 1, 2003. Johnson says that he is excited about SAMPE's future and looks forward to leading the premier technical society into its 60th year. His primary areas of focus will be positioning the society for growth and to make the exhibitions and conferences more exciting and inviting for the exhibitors and conference attendees.

At Boeing, Johnson is currently a System Engineering Project Manager in the National Security Program organization in the Satellite Systems Division in El Segundo, California. Johnson holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Grambling State University, a master's degree in chemistry from the University of Denver, and a master's degree in business administration from Pepperdine University. He also completed the Executive Management Course at UCLA's Anderson School of Business.

Johnson has been an active SAMPE member since 1973, serving as International Executive Vice President, International Senior Vice President for two years, International Vice President, and International Treasurer for two years. The SAMPE organization extends sincere congratulations to Clark Johnson and looks forward to the coming year under his leadership.
