Definition:
Plastic additives which prevent or reduce the condensation of water in the form of small droplets which resemble fog. Such additives function as mild wetting agents which exude to the plastic surface and lower the surface tension of water, thereby causing it to spread into a continuous film. Antifogging agents are alkylphenol ethoxylates, complex polyol mono-esters, polyoxyethylene esters of oleic acid, polyoxyethylene sorbitan esters of oleic acid, and sorbitan esters of fatty acids.
