Definition:
Abbreviation for ACRYLONITRILE-BUTADIENE-STYRENE. A family of thermoplastics or terpolymers based on acrylonitrile, butadiene and styrene combined by a variety of methods involving polymerization, graft copolymerization, physical mixtures and combinations thereof. The standard grades are rigid, hard and tough but not brittle, and possess good impact strength, heat resistance, low temperature properties, chemical resistance and electrical properties.
