Definition: (1) An escape passage at the parting line of a mold, similar to a vent but deeper, serving to allow material to escape or bleed out. (2) The evacuation of air or gases during the cure cycle. Undesired. movement of certain materials in a plastic to the surface of the finished article or into an adjacent material. Also known as MIGRATION.
