Definition:
(1) The temperature above which the vapor phase cannot be condensed to liquid by an increase in pressure. If the pressure is constant, then the critical temperature is synonymous with critical point. (2) The transformation temperature or the temperature' at which the crystals in metal alloy solids begin to arrange themselves and/or form new alloy phases.
