Definition:
Braids having a solid square cross section and fabricated on machines with square arrays with up to sixteen horn gears. Carriers are passed from one horn gear to the other, move the braiders diagonally through the cross section axial yarns and are fed into available locations within and between the horn gears. Their mass distribution is usually arranged to create a square cross section with well-defined corners.
