Definition:
The International System of Units term for the pressure or stress of one newton per square meter. Newton is that force which, when applied to a body having a mass of one kilogram gives it an acceleration of one meter per second squared. Pascal replaces all units of force per unit area such as: 1.0 psi = 6.894 757 × l03, 1.0 atmosphere = 1.013 251 × 105Pa, and 1.0 lbs/ft2 = 4.788 026 × l01Pa.
