Definition:
An area of a reinforced plastic article which has (1) an insufficient amount of resin to wet out the reinforcement completely or (2) a lack of bonding between the reinforcement and the resin. This lack is evidenced by low gloss, dry spots or fiber-show. The condition may be caused by improper wetting or impregnation, or by excessive molding pressure. Also known as DRY SPOT.
