About Composites/Plastics
About Industry & Business

Definition: A pair of two dissimilar metal wires welded together at one end, which when heated at the welded junction generates a feeble electrical current through a circuit connected to the opposite ends of the wires. The current strength varies according to the temperature, and thus can be measured with a millivoltmeter calibrated in degrees of temperature. The complete type of pyrometer is widely used for indicating and controlling temperatures in the plastics industry.
