Definition: A process developed in the USSR and introduced in the U.S. by the Air Force Materials Laboratory. The process as developed for the aerospace industry combined spot welding and adhesive bonding of aluminum structures. It has been found to provide an economical and efficient method of laying-up and oven curing large epoxy-bonded assemblies.
