Lead, Composites Design Engineer

Education/Training: MS in Aerospace, Mechanical, Civil or Chemical Engineering or Engineering Mechanics with minimum of 2 composite courses or a BS Engineering with 3+ years composites products or materials experience.

Experience: Extensive undergraduate level course work or experience in engineering mechanics or structural design/analysis. Incumbent should be recognized composite expert with 5+ years of applied experience. Incumbent should have experience with automated composite processing equipment; programming fiber placement/filament winding equipment, evaluation and test methodology and test specimens. Incumbent must have an understanding of QC inspection technology for composite products, including NDT like ultrasonics, thermography, etc. Computer skills including general planning and communication software and some specialized technical software like SDRC-IDEAS, CATIA needed.
