ACC: Automotive Composites Consortium
Part of USCAR, conducts research into the use of composites in automotive applications. Brief description of mission and goals; list of press releases.
ACSS: Australian Composite Structures Society
A technical society within The Institution of Engineers, Australia. Site contains basic information about the organization, meetings schedule, and a membership application form.
AlMMC: Aluminum Metal Matrix Composites Consort
Works to expand the use of discontinuously reinforced aluminum (DRA). Some general info freely available; resource center available to members only.
ARM: Association of Rotational Molders
International trade organization for the rotational molding industry.
ASC: American Society for Composites
Five technical divisions covering applications, education, and more. Information about membership, conferences, and society organization.
BPF Composites Business Group
Group within the British Plastics Federation that deals with composites. Areas of key concern include waste management, styrene legislation and standards. Includes four task forces: chemical plant, polyester moulding compound, thermosetting recycling and styrene.
CACSMA: Canadian Assoc for Comp Struct and Matls
A network of individuals and corporate members working to develop and enhancenew and existing applications for composites structures and materials.
CFA: Composite Fabricators Association
Manufacturing of composites, from high volume industrial processes to prototype runs. Publications, educational materials, conferences, and research.
CIA: Composites Institute of Australia
Australian industry association. In addition to membership organization, the site has some good descriptive pages on composite materials.
CMA/SME: Composites Manufacturing Assoc of SME
Resource to composite professionals in all industries. Part of the SME. You may need to join the Global Manufacturing Network (GMN) to reach this site (membership is free).
The European Alliance for SMC
Consortium of European companies dedicated to the advancement of SMC and BMC processes. The site has lots of technical information, a newsletter, publications, pictures, and information about automotive applications.
ICCM: International Committee on Composite Materials
International engineering organization promoting worldwide cooperation in composites research and development.
IFP: Swedish Institute for Fibre and Polymer Research
IFP's activities include research and development programmes, contract research work, consultation, testing, information and training.
MIL-17 Organization
Maintains MIL-HDBK-17, the "Composite Materials Handbook." Site has information about purchasing the handbook, past and upcoming meetings, and resources for organization members.
SPE Composites Division
Division of the Society of Plastics Engineers that covers composites. Information about the scholarships program and officers list.
