Software can be used to improve manufacturing and molding processes for composites and plastics. Simulation of mold filling, draping, flat patterns, cure and other processes can cut costs and waste, and reduce time to market.

American GFM
Software for generating nested patterns for CNC machines. Windows 95/NT or Sun Solaris. Brief overview of features; no screen shots.

ASC Process Systems
CPC-NT for active control of composite curing systems (autoclaves, ovens, presses, furnaces, etc.) and GTR Gerber table retrofit. Detailed descriptions, sample applications, online demos and manual, and technical white papers.

CADWIND
Commercial software for generating filament winding patterns. Can calculate patterns based on required strength. Also nongeodesic paths and weight optimization.

Composite Solutions, LLC
Control systems for filament winders, and parametric product design, analysis manufacturing and costing software. No more information than that on the Web site, but lots of project pictures and FAQs.

FiberSIM
Commercial software suite integrated with CAD systems for ply management, flat patterning, laser placement, producibility assessment, and laminate properties (FEA interface).

Gerber Technology
Gerber makes cutters for the composites industry, but their AccuMark nesting software is available as a stand-alone product. Brochures available in PDF format. Windows.
